Project proposals by the consortium PI Prof. Clare Strachan and consortium partner Prof. Janne Ihalainen were among the 78 Academy Projects that received funding in the 2019 Academy of Finland call.
Clare Strachan plans to use Raman spectroscopy to develop a method to predict the response of cancer patients to chemotherapy medicines before the start of the treatment.
Janne Ihalainen will combine very recent developments in time-resolved spectroscopy, time-resolved crystallography and computation to investigate enzymatic reactions in crystal and solution.
